Regents POLICY ON ENERGY AND SUSTAINABILITY

The Nevada System of Higher Education’s Energy and Sustainability Policy is documented in the Board of Regents Handbook (Title 4, Chapter 10, Section 26).  It is the result of a Board of Regents meeting held August 17-18, 2006, item 12.

UNLV SUSTAINABILITY POLICY

The mandate for the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) is to be the beacon concerning environmental sustainability and energy/water efficiency.  Best practices will be utilized to achieve the goals of sustainability within limits of funding and resource availability.

UNLV Sustainability Task Force Initiatives

In October 2007, President David B. Ashley appointed 11 members to the President's Advisory Task Force on Sustainability.
