Quality of Material Collected in 1997
This table is updated monthly. Zeros do not indicate that material was not collected in that month, but that it was stockpiled until enough was accumulated for a pick-up or drop-off. Cardboard statistics are approximated because the bales are not all the same size. Small bales average about 700 pounds and large bales are about 900 pounds; therefore, 800 pounds was used as the conversion for cardboard.
UNLV's paper is recycled by Ideal Paper Company.
UNLV's cardboard and plastic is recycled by RC Farms/Waste Management Inc.
UNLV's aluminum is recycled by Nova Recycling Company.
