Acceptable and Unacceptable Materials for Departmental Recycling Stations
The Rebel Recycling Program appreciates your cooperation in using the bins properly. Improper use of the recycling station creates problems for the program. Please follow the guidelines stated below. If you have questions, please e-mail Tara Pike, the Rebel Recycling Coordinator.
CARDBOARD - Please flatten cardboard and stack it behind the bin.
ALUMINUM - Please set up a small waste can or a box with a bag to collect aluminum. To get a sign for your aluminum collection unit, e-mail the Rebel Recycling Coordinator.
WHITE PAPER BIN - White paper is separated out from the nixed paper because it is marketable (has value). Separation makes us more efficient. WHITE PAPER IS ANYTHING WITHOUT COLORED OFF-SET INK. UNLV letterhead and UNLV Updates are considered colored/mixed paper. ENVELOPES ARE CONSIDERED MIXED PAPER.
